Why should you get a pedicure?
Men’s feet, just like women’s feet, are exposed to a lot of load in daily life. Regular foot care can help you prevent / relieve many ailments such as foot and nail fungus, cracked heels. And even if you’re lucky enough to have pretty perfect feet, a pedicure session can do wonders for your mood. When you take care of your feet, you actually take care of your health. Many practices mention that our feet are like the roots of our body and that taking care of them can help reduce stress and release feel-good hormones.
Benefits of Pedicure
A pedicure feels great above all else. When your feet are healthy they don’t hurt, they allow you to walk longer, exercise more and focus more. In short, having simple rituals such as pedicures that target emotional and physical health is extremely beneficial for your general self-care.
In addition, cleaning your feet with pedicure and cutting your nails correctly prevents nail disorders that are difficult to eliminate. Regular pedicures can help gentlemen dealing with chronic issues like foot odor, nail fungus, and have it controlled without more specialized care.
What should you expect when getting a pedicure?
Most salons today offer basic pedicures for men that include foot scrubs, nail clipping and filing. There are also a few things to keep in mind before putting your feet at the mercy of a pedicurist:
- If you have any health condition that requires them to be sensitive to your feet, inform the specialist about this.
- Ask them not to cut your cuticles as this can bleed your skin and cause any infection.
- Ask them to cut the nail straight to avoid ingrown nails.
- If you want to make salon pedicures a regular part of your routine, bring your own tools to avoid cross-contamination.
